Nauriin Ahmed graduated with Highest Distinction from BRAC University and with a High Upper Second Class (2.1) from Christ’s College, University of Cambridge with a Masters Degree in Corporate Law (MCL) in 2017. She was awarded the Herbert Smith Freehills African-Asian Bursary by the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge and the Christ’s College Scriven Graduate Bursary, for her academic excellence. She is trained in negotiating and structuring legal transactions such as private equity investments, asset/share purchase, acquisition financing, and public/private takeovers and mergers. In addition to that, she has substantial knowledge and understanding of international financial regulations, financial management, corporate finance and corporate taxation.
Notwithstanding attractive career opportunities abroad after her graduation from Cambridge, she decided to return to Bangladesh and to The Legal Circle in 2017, since she felt she could optimise her Cambridge education and contribute further to the development of the corporate law sector in Bangladesh.
While at The Legal Circle, she has assisted the Partners in matters relating to Company law, Data Protection and Privacy laws, Private Equity, Telecommunication law, etc. She has also provided important and relevant legal research and drafting support in the above-mentioned matters, including for litigation purposes.’
