The Asset Triple A Infrastructure Awards 2020

Cold Chain Bangladesh Limited won The Asset Triple A Infrastructure Award 2020 for the Logistics Deal of the Year. The project by Cold Chain Limited is the first of its kind in Bangladesh with a strong climate impact since it will help in the reduction in usage of hazardous chemicals in food, lower post-harvest losses/spoilage, and promote climate-smart agri value chain in the country. Barrister Anita Ghazi Islam Founder and Managing Partner at The Legal Circle and Nauriin Ahmed are privileged to have advised on the legal aspects relating to the formation of Startup Bangladesh Limited and Bangladesh Data Center. Bangladesh’s first ever state owned venture capital firm “Startup Bangladesh Limited” received Cabinet approval on 30.12.2019. Towards achieving the Digital Bangladesh – Vision 2021 of the Government of Bangladesh, this is a major step in creating a sustainable startup ecosystem in Bangladesh and for the development of tech-based startups. The Cabinet also approved the proposal for the formation of the Bangladesh Data Center company, with the aim of reducing dependency on offshore data centers, which is estimated to save Bangladesh around BDT 353 crore in the long run. see details
